Anonymous said...

OMG :O
CAN'T WAIT

Anonymous said...

At first I wasn't so sure about how good the movie would be compared to the book, but I have to admit I'm VERY excited about seeing it now! The music does seem to be well suited, and I also can't wait to get the soundtrack to it.

got chills..i really wanna see it now.. and yeah i do wanna know the backround song in the beginning. i like it

Anonymous said...

Yeah the song really rocks !!!
Does anyone know what is it ?

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

I really LOVE this song! *.*

Anonymous said...

Ohhhh!!!
I love the trailer!!

I have a feeling this is going to be one of the best movie soundtracks. Everyone wants to know the name of the song. Come on people: music is important to us too! :)

Thanks for sharing :) Hope you don't mind, I copied the video and placed it in my blog. I've put your blog site for the credits :)

COME ON!!!! I've been searching the WHOLE FREAKING INTERNET FOR THAT SONG!!!! WHAT THE HECK IS IT!

Anonymous said...

This looks so AWESOME!
I cant wait for it..
i think rob and kristin make the perfect edward and bella in my opinion :D

The movie is going to be soooo AMAZING!!!! I am so excited. I agree with sapphire daedra... I didn't think it would be as good as the book, nothing really ever is, but this trailer really got me hooked. This had to be the best one, there was things I hadn't seen in it!!

AAAHHH NOBODY KNOWS THE SONG I HAVE SEARCHED ALL OVER FOR THIS SONG AND CANT FIND IT

Anonymous said...

It's probably hard to find a song when it doesn't have words...sorry about your luck

Anonymous said...

ok so i was VERY excited for the soundtrack to come out today. and i get it and i was somewhat disappointed. dont get me wrong, i love the songs on it. but:

a)i thought Bella's Lullaby was gunna be River Flows In You by Yiruma, which would have gone SOOOOO unbelievably better than the one composed by Carter Burrel, even though that one is good.

and b)THE SONG IN THE TRAILER IS NOT ON THE SOUNDTRACK!!!!!! i'm so angry about that because it goes with the movie sooo well and i can neverrr find the name for it!!!! ughhh

Anonymous said...

i think the song is angels by within temptation! im not sure though but that is what im getting from my sources! hope it helps! xoxo

Anonymous said...

So I bought the soundtrack the other day and I LOVE it. Like amazingly so. It's got amazing bands on it, amazing songs, everything is, well... amazing. Except for one HUGE thing: the amazing song from the trailer is NOT on it.

I'm not gonna lie, the whole reason I bought the soundtrack was for that song. And it's m.i.a., just freaking wonderful. Don't get me wrong I'll listen to the soundtrack on occasion probably but I'm severely let down that that song was not on it.

And at this point I'm pretty sure the only way anyone will be able to find out what the song really is is by waiting to sit through ALL of the credits at the end of the movie. Talk about mood killer.

Anonymous said...

The track isn't angels by within temptation, i just checked and its not but I could completly understand people thinking that..now if only someone would find out what it IS!

Anonymous said...

It's called Red Mist. Google the name - someone has it up for download. It's beautiful. I think it goes perfectly with the book. Although I love how in the trailer it goes right into *another* song (who's name I don't know). Red Mist is all quiet, it doesn't get intense like the trailer does.

Anonymous said...

that song is driving me nuts i wanna know what it is as well it almost sounds like something from lord of the rings but i dont think so. not that that helps.

Anonymous said...

hey guys the song in the trailer is "Angels" by Within Temptation. its the same song they used in the series Fringe on Fox. Enjoy:)

Anonymous said...

no it isn't this song no angels no red mist! i am talking about the first song of this trailer please, the man who made the trailer must answer! please

Anonymous said...

waaaaaaaaaaaa, i'm going crazy, i love that song but can't find it ANYWHERE, please pleas please, doesn't anybody know the name?

Anonymous said...

I believe the song is called "Power of One Choir" by X Ray Dogs. Unfortunately, they only produce music for commercials and movie trailers, so the music is not available or sold to the public.

Anonymous said...

and where do you find this song? i looked everywhere and there isn't any song power of one choir by x ray dogs...how do you know that this is the song? please answer me

Anonymous said...

I believe that name of the song we're all talking about is "Requiem For A Tower". Not sure who it's by, but I listen to it when I'm writing a lot because it's so great. :)

Anonymous said...

It's none of the songs listed above, but it sounds close to Requiem for a Tower (which is beautiful)! I'm asking some music major friends... I'll post if I find out anything!!!

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

I would love to figure out the beginning vocals on the twilight trailer!!! It is so awesome and SO incredibly hard to find.... I have looked up the x-ray dog theory... and the angels by within temptation... Good song.. but not the one in the beginning!!! I thinik the vocals are so haunting.. Please somebody post something helpful!!! If I find anything I will be sure to share the knowledge....

Anonymous said...

Ok so somebody posted that the song is by Two Steps From Hell and the name of it is "Mercy in Darkness" but I CANT FIND IT!!!! If someone can find it and post a sample if its the song we are looking for I will love you forever!! haha :D

Brack said...

Jim Dooley - Red Mist Isnt it ?
FOund it on youtube.. somebody maybe have post it, but i does it twice then :)

Anonymous said...

"Two Steps From Hell" happens to be the name of one of several companies that specialize in music for film trailers. Can't seem to find anything on their site titled "Mercy in Darkness", however... :o\

Anonymous said...

I have no idea how you guys figured out those first two songs, but that is AMAZING. Thanks!

Anonymous said...

The red mist song is not the beginning song of the trailer Im positive... I think it might play later on though Im not sure...... I agree that the Two Steps From Hell probably doesn't produce any cd's... What is with these company's they would totally make money if they would release the music look how obsessed we are!! HA HA.... Well I will keep looking into finding that song.. If thats even the name

Anonymous said...

Requiem for a Tower is from the movie Requiem for a Dream... and it freaks me out when I hear it just remembering the movie!!! I LOVE the song from the trailer <3

Anonymous said...

What's the song that plays in the trailer. No, not the very first one. The second when Bella starts speaking.

Anonymous said...

I'm so glad to find people just as ocd about this song as me! I read all of these posts and found the site for Two Steps from Hell. They have a FAQ page. They don't sell music. bummer. When you click on the credits page you see movie poster for all the trailers they've done. Twilight is one of them.

Anonymous said...

alright after much research and a little help from various forums and blogs, this how it goes for the trailer link i posted below

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxjNDE2fMjI

0:00-0:35 = Mercy in Darkness - Two steps From Hell
0:36-1:16 = The Power of One - X-Ray Dog
1:17-1:46 = ????
1:48-2:21 = ????

ya sorry i don't know the last 2

but anyway, both Two Steps From Hell and X Ray Dog don't realease their music to the public typically, it takes a long time before they do, so you're gonna have to wait, but i will post links to anything i find

hope this helped

Anonymous said...

I tried to post yesterday but don't see it. I found the site of that artist. They only make music for trailers and such. They do not sell music. I asked a friend who may be able to help. I'll let ya'll know.

Anonymous said...

i could have sworn that the first song was the same in lord of the rings, fellowship. the part right when gandalf falls with shadow in the mountain.

Anonymous said...

Well, that was no help. blah. Everyone keep us ocd people updated if ya'll find anything!

From the FAQ of Two Steps From Hell:

"Our music is not sold commercially and is available for licensing only. As the style of the music is geared for movie trailers, some television and media markets, it is only available to music supervisors, editors and producers at our clients' workplaces. Given the state of the music industry at the current moment, we find that this is the most sensible model for us. We appreciate the fans out there that love trailer music , actively participate in the various forums and send us email. Thank you so much for your comments. Perhaps, in the future, we will release, to the consumer, an album of some of our most popular tracks."

I suppose our only hope is that enough of us will pepper them with queries to motivate them to do so. Hopefully someone in their line of work will catch wind of the sheer number of those of us who are desperate to have this music to enjoy...and will gently apply pressure for us!

Okay, I've been working on this for about 2 hours+. Here's what I have:

http://www.twostepsfromhell.com/twilight.php

which shows the trailer that we're talking about. The song (or music or voice, rather) is the cue "Mercy in Darkness" from the collection Dreams and Imaginations created/produced by Two Steps From Hell. Good Luck if you can find any of their music anywhere, but at least we know what it is for sure and it's probably JUST that little voice part before it breaks into whatever some of the other people have posted. :/

Anonymous said...

Great work!! Following the chain from that link I found these non-downloadable mp3s:

http://www.twostepsfromhell.com/index2-1.php

I've listened to both and it's hard to tell whether these are the complete pieces or just snippets of the pieces fused together. I suspect what we're looking for is on "Imaginations", but I never heard actually heard any of it in either of the mp3 links.

We're getting closer...!!!

Hahahahaha! "Mercy in darkness", talk about an impossible song to track down!

I'll not be surprised of someone has gone mad over this. I sure as hell could, if i've kept looking.

Thank you so very much for posting this--you are absolutely made of win!

Those were the two I was trying to track down by reading all these posting to figure out what exactly those songs were that made the trailer so powerful.

http://www.megaupload.com/es/?d=1FINQFNU

0:00-0:35 = Mercy in Darkness - Two steps From Hell

0:36-1:16 = The Power of One - X-Ray Dog

Hey, thanks a lot for the link! Do you (or anybody else) know where I can find the album Dogs Of War by X-Ray Dog?

Anonymous said...

i looked on the x-ray dogs website... and just like Two Steps from Hell... there music isn't available to the public... darn... maybe we should make a petition to both of them to ACTUALLY sell their music... haha... or not!

Anonymous said...

Woah thanks for the link! I've been looking for The Power of One for absolutely AAAAAAAGES!

Bree said...

I am so glad that I am not the only trying to find out what the music to the trailer is.I have a question and I hope someone can help me. I tried the megaupload link but I am a newbie at all of this and I am not sure what the next step is once I go to the link. Could someone please explain it to me so I can download it? I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much!!

Anonymous said...

How did you get the X ray Dog's song ??? You're the best !! Thx a lot ^^

Anonymous said...

I'm down with the petition idea. I think it's ridiculous that these songs aren't available to the people that clearly want to hear them most. Good work everyone for getting us this far!

Anonymous said...

the song in the beginning of the trailer is MERCY IN DARKNESS by TWO STEPS FROM HELL. promise
it is definitly the correct song.

EeLing said...

It's The Power of One Choir by X-Ray Dog and Mercy In Darkness by Two Steps From Hell!!! They combined both songs together :) I took forever to search.
